This song is so mentally exasperating for me. Surface Lyrics aside, the melody has this creepy dark and mentally deranged feel to it. I can just see Emily walking down that isle, palms sweaty, teeth clenched trying to convince herself that marrying this drunken fool is the best option to save her King and country. She's determined to follow through with it, even though it leaves an emptiness inside of her. She knows he wants next to nothing to do with her romantically, which is fine by her, but at the same time she will begrudgingly yet willingly play the part of his wife in every way.
Lyrically the song hits home with:

I saw her with you
Monday morning small talking on the avenue (Sitting room)
She's got a fancy car (Er, Horse and cart?)
She wants to take you far
From the city lights and sounds deep into the dark

To which I have to say, CHARLOTTE YOU FUCKING TRAMP!



Will's Music: Needing/Getting by OK Go

Lets face it, Will is a H.A.M. Yes, he is a Hot ass mess when Emily first meets him. Not to mention that he makes 'drunk' the new 'sexy,' or perhaps it's just that it's Will. Alright, I'll put it in my pants already.

This song starts out slow like a beating heart getting more intense with every second, imagine what if feels like to be a Groom at a semi-Impromptu wedding? A happy little melody comes in to play, such as a wedding march, but the fact is Will has been "Waiting for (Emily) to change" her mind about marrying him, but he knows that "There ain't much that's dumber, Than pinning your hopes on a change in another." What he NEEDS is a partner to help him unveil the plot to Kill the king, and with Emily's mind reading ability she's perfect, but what he GETS is a Bride which in the beginning is no more than a means to an end. Give him a year or so and then he'll be singing "It don't get much dumber, Than trying to forget a girl when you love her." The whole chaotic feel of the music gives you that "GUH, it's so wrong.....but so right!" feeling which is pretty much Will's situation.
